VBresults - Post Keyword Alerts 1.1.2

This add-on lets you receive e-mail notifications when new posts match your keywords.

Installation Instructions

1. Go to: Admin > Add-ons > Install/upgrade from archive and import/install the attached add-on zip
2. Go to: Admin > Users > User customization > Custom user fields, Add and save field:
   
   Title: Post Keyword Alerts
   Description: When a post is made with any of the supplied keywords, you are notified immediately.
   Display location: Preferences
   
   General options > User editable: Yes
3. Go to: Admin > Users > User customization > Custom user fields, Add and save field:
   
   Title: Post Username Alerts
   Description: When a post is made with your complete username, you are notified immediately.
   Display location: Preferences
   Display order: 10
   Field type: Radio buttons
   
   Options for choice fields:
   1 | Yes
   0 | No
   
   General options
   Field is required: Yes
   User editable: Yes
   
   
4. Go to: Admin > Setup > Options > Post Keyword Alerts
   
   Select the field you created in Steps #2 and #3, and Save
   
   
5. Go to: Admin > Groups & permissions > User groups
   
   Select a group, and under Forum permissions > Post Keyword Alerts, select 'Yes' and Save
   
   Note: This step has to be repeated for every group that can receive alerts!

Disclosure: This add-on is fully functional and is only receiving updates if/when it is broken by a core XF update or a bug is found. It could occasionally receive feature updates.
